Writing work and seeing Practical Magic
Dec. 20th, 2004 11:04 pmI finally got something done today. Well, it begun last night - I wrote more of nightmare-story, beginning the next scene as promised. Didn't get very far, unfortunately - realized I was coming to a very large description scene and really needed to look at the pictures I have of Mary's house again before continuing.
But I did better than that: just tonight I re-watched Practical Magic, which I haven't done since I started my nightmare-story. Which explains a lot.
But it did remind me of one element I had forgotten. Hints for myself: BROOM. SYMBOLISM. OCTOBER 31ST.
That is all.
Except I'm hoping, after studying the house again closely, and making some mental notes while watching the movie, to continue writing tonight, and better than I did last night.
Also, have begun another original-work story that I plan to pass off as a gift for Christmas. It's a humorous short story. I wasn't sure at all what it was going to be about until today, when I began writing - I only knew what I was going to do for the introduction. But with my lovely, lovely muse's help, have gotten right into it, and now have a couple of pages written. Am only stopping to sleep on what I've done so far. But the title is Alfreda Schweitzer and Her Bargain with the Milk-Man. And yes, it will certainly be posted here when completed. Heeeee.
