Oct. 19th, 2004 04:52 pmI finished Rising From Ashes that night. Too depressed to write about the ending here, but this is what I tried to write the author on their message files:
( My message )
message files The ending...was unbelievably terrible. I could not believe the proclaimed best Ginny/Draco story could end that way.
They broke up, it put it plainly. In a very irreversible way. Their meeting place was burned. Draco absolutely blew Ginny off. It was awful.
It was also highly realistic. I hate the authors for it, but it was. They even admitted they weren't Ginny/Draco shippers. So their purpose in writing the story is clear: "You want a Ginny/Draco story? Here's how it goes, fuckers."
And it nearly killed me. Yesterday, I could not stop thinking about it. It was driving me mad. There was only one way I could make peace with Ginny/Draco and my mind.
I wrote another story.
I wrote it like I wrote Someone to Look Up To. Except I couldn't do it all in one night, so I wrote the rest this morning. And it's all done. About five pages, front and back, on notebook paper. I'll type it up when I have time and send it to fanfiction.net and Fiction Alley.
Only thing it's lacking is a title. I want to title it, "The Success of Ginny/Draco - Screw You, Arabella and Jedi Boudceau," but that wouldn't fit. So I'll probably pick part of the lyrics to a song.
