Why now? Because I finally finished James's second-to-last line (examples of pranks that would be appropriate to the situation).
No, I am not completely happy with it, quite far from it. I don't feel 100% about it as I do with Ties of Blood. But the simple truth is it has been a WIP for way too long. Fics are not meant to be a constant WIP, search for perfection. No, you write and upload them and then go write something better. Seriously.
Stretched out as it is, there's a strange change in quality from beginning to end, though actually I re-wrote the beginning slightly. Still, it's strange for me.
What I do quite like out of it: the Remus-Lily scene, definite favorite. Something I may take completely out of context and use as an example of an intense scene I wrote well.
I'm really happy it's up. And I still cackle at the title.
